Literary Junkies

Pink Heels Pink Truck
THE QUESTIONS:
Literarey Junkies is a fun meme asking questions about your reading.  You can read my answers below, or share yours at Pink Heels, Pink Truck.

MY ANSWERS:
1. What are you reading? Tell us about it!
Nothing for fun right now I'm afraid.  I've decided to homeschool my youngest so reading lots of curriculum reviews and other homeschooling stuff.  Also, Squidoo, a site I write through, just got acquired by Hubpages and is going away, so I'm reading up on Hubpages to see if I want to move my Squidoo articles  there, or somewhere else.  So swamped.

2. Do you read one book at a time, or read multiple books at once?
I used to read just one fiction book at a time, along with a few non-fiction (I go more slowly through those--and some are things like devotionals which are meant to be read a little at a time.  But now it seems I pick up a book, put it down, and can't recall where I left it...so I start another.

3. What is the first book that made you fall in love with reading?
The first chapter book I read cover to cover on my own was The Secret Garden.  My mom  had already read The Little Princess (by the same author) and I wanted to start this one because I loved that one so much, but she was busy.  So, on her suggestion, I read and it started me reading many more...but my mom had already ignited my love of reading books too me, from short, rich books like the Serendipity books, to her own Christian romance novels by Janet Oke that she read to me, in part, I think, so I would stop bugging her and be quiet while she read.

4. Do you prefer a physical copy of the book or an electronic version?
Physical.  I like to read when my kids are on the computer.

5. What are three books on your To Be Read list?
The second and third Hunger Games books, which are somewhere in my house, but I DO NOT KNOW WHERE.  Dang messy house.  Another is Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

    1. Yeah, they still are two of my favorites. And I even got to do a report in college on A Little Princess for my Victorian literature class. One of the funnest reports I've done.

  5. I hear you on the merger of writing sites, quite an issue, but we move onward and upward!

I am right there with you on the printed books. I still haven't bought a Kindle but I have read a couple of short books on the PC Kindle from Amazon. I just love curling up in bed or on the sofa with a real book!

    1. Yeah, I suppose we do. Was a hassle but I'm actually feeling good about moving some of the things to my blog. Gonna wait and see how many work on hubpages without major changes, but there's a few I think would be better on my blog anyways.
